with the Armenian Students Association of UCI is proud to present a lecture by Professor Stephan Astourian on Saturday,
April 26 at 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Social Science Plaza A 1100 on the University of California, Irvine (UCI)
Campus.
"Turmoil in Armenia" is the challenging title of the
upcoming lecture by Professor Stephan Astourian. Professor Astourian, who was educated at the Sorbonne University in
Paris and UCLA, is the Director of the Armenian Studies Program at U.C. Berkeley and Adjunct Professor in the Department
of History at the same university.
Professor Astourian will address the pre election atmosphere,
the elections and the post election turmoil that brought havoc to an otherwise stable Armenia. He will analyze the role of
the opposition, the social, economic and political atmosphere within the context of the geopolitical reality of Armenia.
Admission is $10.00 to general public and free for students
